SURE SHOTS TIP LIST
Bubbling under the 50. Most likely to make a chart impact.
1. Train "Meet Virginia"
Train is currently scoring big with "Free" in the Top 5 and this latest may just follow its predecessor's footsteps.
2. Indigenous "Things We Do"
The latest single from Indigenous is just as potent as "Now That You're Gone".
3. George Thorogood "I Don't Trust Nobody"
He's back and his new single is becoming a huge radio smash.

SHOOT THE RADIO SHITLIST
Overplayed, overrated, overhyped. Least likely to make chart impact.
1. Alanis Morissette "Unsent"
2 weeks at #1. Dear Martha, please tell Alanis that this song is ridiculous.
2. Savage Garden "Animal Song"
What makes us human, Darren, is that we actually face our problems, not have regression fantasies.
3. Eminem "My Name Is"
4 weeks at #1. Hi, my name is Eminem-Destroyer and I will destroy you while you think about which Spice Girl to impregnate.
4. TLC "No Scrubs"
Obviously, sounds just like any other RnB. What sets it apart? It's overplayed and I'm actually exposed to it.
5. N Sync "I Drive Myself Crazy"
This new video is sooooooo cheeeeeeeesy. UGH More disses next week when I see it again.

NUMBER ONE

The Black Crowes retain the #1 spot for a third consecutive week. It gains in points this week but only beats out the #2 title by 1.5 points. So it's very likely that next week we'll see Sammy Hagar take the #1 spot. "Mas Tequila" is still gaining in airplay at strong levels while "Fool" seems to have levelled out in airplay. Other strong contenders for the #1 spot in the future are many but the strongest seems to be the infectious rock and roll track "Lit Up" from Buckcherry, which has been the Most Improved single for 3 consecutive weeks, a first. This week, it ranks #9.

NEW ENTRIES

After last week's onslaught of debuts, there are only two new debuts this week. Staind, a new metal band, which takes influences and help from Limp Bizkit, open at #36 with their active rock radio single "Just Go". The other debut comes from Local H's "All Right (Oh Yeah)", barely making it onto this week's chart, at #50. It is the followup to the #12 smash "All The Kids Are Right".

THE LONGEVITY CHECK

Goo Goo Dolls look like they're definitely going to break the 3 way record of 28 total chart weeks as "Slide" moves UP in its 28th chart week. Next week, it will be the longest running chart title.
