1. Collective Soul "No More, No Less"
SURE SHOTS TIP LIST
Bubbling under the 50. Most likely to make a chart impact.
The followup to the #1 megasmash "Heavy", a bit slow but could still pull it off.
2. Alice In Chains "Get Born Again"
The new AIC single is already a smash, will enter high next week.
3. Eve 6 "Open Road Song"
A catchy summer alternative track which might just do it on active.
4. Def Leppard "Paper Sun"
Serviced with "Promises", this is also garnering significant adds.
1. TLC "No Scrubs"
SHOOT THE RADIO SHITLIST
Overplayed, overrated, overhyped. Least likely to make chart impact.
1 week at #1. Stop playing this damn song.
2. Ricky Martin "Livin' La Vida Loca"
The lyrics are the epitome of stupidity, directly proportional to his IQ.
3. Alanis Morissette "Unsent"
4 weeks at #1.
4. Baz Luhrmann "Everybody's Free To Wear Sunscreen"
How does this shit even get recorded? This is not music.
5. Sugar Ray "Every Morning"
| NUMBER ONE |
For a seventh consecutive week, but which looks to be the last, Sammy Hagar holds on to the top spot with "Mas Tequila". The single's airplay points are quickly disappearing and it only passes the #2 and #3 titles, by just a bit on personal points. Next week, this shall not be the case and either Buckcherry or Oleander will ascend to the top.
| NEW ENTRIES |
This week sees five major debuts. The highest is the latest from 80's rock band Def Leppard. Expectations were low for "Promises" but this week, we see that Def Lep still reign supreme. It makes a #18 debut on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart. It is the #1 most added song with nearly 150 stations supporting the track nationwide. This will ensure a Top 10 berth in upcoming weeks, both on the official charts and Doc Rawk's 50. On this chart, it debuts at #11, on the strength of Top 10 personal points. This will be huge, mark my words. The second highest debut comes from an old single. It's Bad Company's "Hey Hey". The other real notable debut comes from Red Hot Chili Peppers. Their latest is also now a huge smash on active, with over 120 adds. The other two debuts come from new Indigenous and Metallica.

The Black Crowes' "Kickin' My Heart Around" drops significantly to #20 on its 28th week.
